New Fall Yarns

50% Acrylic, 40% Wool, 10% Nylon

Vintage Chunky by Berroco

Here is one of the nicest new yarns that Berroco has come out with.  Last year we introduced you to Vintage, a lovely worsted wool/acrylic blend.  This year they have come out with a chunky version of the same yarn.  It's just as lovely as the worsted version and at $7.25 for 100g/120 mt, this is a great bargain.  Lovely designs as well.

Another great yarn from Berroco this year is Remix.  Made from recycled fibres of cotton, linen, and silk, its machine washable.  Wonderful pattern support as usual from this company.  We love carrying their yarns!  100 g/200mt - great yardage for an aran yarn!

Cascade 220 has always become a popular choice for our customers and this season we have a wonderful selection of colours for your delight as you walk in the shop.  A new addition to the 220 line is 220 Sport and 220 Sport Superwash.  You're going to love these yarns and they'll be arriving soon.

You just have to love this new yarn!  Lustra by Berroco is a touch sensation you just have to experience.  A 50/50 blend of Peruvian Wool and Tencel, it has a sheen on it you can see from across the store!  100g has 180mts so you're getting a good value for $10.99 for this aran weight yarn.  You need to come in and see the lovely colours and feel the softness of this beautiful yarn.

New (for us anyway!) is Mulberry & Merino from Diamond's Luxury line.  We love this line of yarns which are just as good quality as many of the designer name brand yarns but much more affordable. This is a DK weight yarn made of 50% Merino and 50% Mulberry Silk.  It has 90mts per 50g ball and retails for $8.50, a great value for such a decadent yarn.

We were disappointed when we found out that Diamond Yarns were discontinuing their Fine Merino Superwash 4ply as we know that some of you just love knitting with wool for babies.  However, we were happy to find out that Viking Yarns (carried by Diamond) has a lovely baby 4ply call Baby Ull.   Great value at $4.95, this yarn has 175 mts per 50g and has great pattern support. We are quite impressed with this Norwegian company and we've had a great reaction to their Naturegarn as well.

Last but not least is Sirdar's newest addition to their baby yarn line - Baby Snowball! It's just like their big Snowball you saw last year, just the little pom poms on the yarn are a bit smaller. There are some really cute patterns for blankets, vests and jackets.  This is a really fun yarn that knits up easily and creates soft and cuddly garments.  This yarn retails for $5.95.

Stay tuned for another blog post for a few more of our new yarns.  In the meantime, why don't you come in and see them for yourself!  You won't be disappointed.
